what the world, needs now, is love, sweet love la la la la la...

i'm taking a break from working right now... well actually, working is my break from bumming around so i'm bumming around again. oh yeah, i haven't mentioned it yet. i got a raket! kung tawagin my JU classmate gave me this thing. transcribing she said it was like P500 per tape. i figured, i type fast enough, i'm a good listener, easy money, right? boy, am i in over my head... my deadline is tomorrow and i'm only 3/4ths the way in on the first side of tape one! i still have like two whole sides to go. *sigh* and it isn't as easy as you might think. it gets tiring to look at the pc all the time so every once in a while you need to take a break to rest your eyes then you never get back to doing it. my only motivation now is harry. i read the first two chapters. i said i couldn't read anymore until i finished my work. so now i'm working...

We had this seat work before in my chem class and i got a near perfect score. 97.5 to be O.C about it. then we had like our first major test and i got a 97 on that too. i've never gotten a 97 on enything except may for a few practical tests in P.E or whatever. and then all the kids were going like "wow, ang galing mo ate" and i was like, well, they ARE just making me RETAKE the damn thing. and they're all like "ate, pa tingin ng paper mo" to see the answers. that rarely happens to me.

another proud moment for the big man on campus.

i should get back to work now. later i'll comment whore.

I'm proud of you. *hug*

And about transcribing, I had my share of that when I had my OJT for Yes! Magazine. The only thing that got me through was the fact that it was showbiz, so I was learning a lot of chismis that don't get printed on the papers anymore. I was lucky enough to transcribe an interview with Rosanna Roces at the height of her fight with Vicky Belo, and kung anu-ano talaga sinabi niya. Very libelous.

But yes, it's tough. I hope you have a good set of headphones. And take a shower na before transcribing, para you don't have to wet your eyes when they're strained. :)
